Title: Streetfighter DVD set
Post by: The Burgomaster on April 14, 2003, 05:42:28 PM
I recently ordered the STREETFIGHTER DVD set. It has 4 movies (STREETFIGHTER, RETURN OF THE STREETFIGHTER, SISTER STREETFIGHTER, and STREETFIGHTER'S LAST REVENGE), all in widescreen format. Has anyone seen these DVDs? I'm concerned about the quality because all 4 movies cost only $10.

I guess I'll find out soon enough as my order should arrive in a couple of days . . .

I know that there are two sets out, which company is this one by?  I ask because I am also interested in getting the set.  $10 puts up a warning flag that the quality might be medium to low, but if it is medium I would definitely pick it up.

My wife just called me here at work and said that my shipment arrived today. (THE STREETFIGHTER set and JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH). So I guess my question about quality will be answered tonight . . .

My STREETFIGHTER dvd set arrived yesterday. It is the VCI version. I didn't have time to watch any of the movies, but I popped one into my dvd player for a few minutes to check out the quality. The quality is actually very good - it is not the "super sharp" quality that you get from recent movies, but it is very consistent with the quality you get from most movies from the 1970s. Much better than you would expect for about $10.99 (from Deep Discount DVD's website). I didn't check the quality of all 4 movies in the set, but I assume they are all about the same.
