Post by: tralallog on April 16, 2003, 01:52:46 AM i think its extremely overly politically correct to say those movies were black exploitation films... pam grier said they weren't and samuel l. jackson said "shaft" was the first movie he ever saw with a black hero. richard roundtree, the star of shaft, thought they were black exploitation films.
on the other hand i think garbage like american pie, and so forth, is probably "white exploitation" but nobody cares when white people are being exploited. i can't say i care either but i dont' like double standards.
