Title: MIdnight Madness (1980)
Post by: Brock on June 13, 2001, 11:00:02 AM
I should have brought this up down in the bad movie music thread, because the superfluous disco theme song on this one will make you wish for death, or possibly the death of others.  A cheesy beyond all reason 80's movie about a wacky college scavenger hunt all over L.A.  Most notable among the participants are two fat twins and Micheal J. Fox.  It was incredibly entertaining, and I still have yet to decide if i really enjoyed it or if I liked it because it was so campy.  Regardless, it's a great B-Movie.

I obtained this film, in a previously viewed rack, and it does provide some comical mayhem, and mishaps. Still, it does manage to be a great time waster. I couldn't believe Michael J. Fox actually starred in this.

How many times have I seen this movie?  I swear it played at least once a day back in the eighties.

There are a lot more familiar faces in this movie than Fox.  You've got David Naughton of AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON; Stephen Furst of ANIMAL HOUSE; Maggie Roswell from THE SIMPSONS (although I have no idea what she looks like); Eddie Deezen, ubiquitous geeky guy.  So much talent in one movie!

I never really liked it as a kid, but looking back it does seem sort of a defining movie.  How come you never see gigantic board games/scavenger hunts as the plots of movies anymore?  Maybe a new game show?

It's beautiful.  This movie is one of my all-time favorites.  People need to see this and laugh.
