Title: New purchases Post by: StatCat on June 20, 2001, 05:08:50 PM Today I picked up Basket case 2, 3, the video dead, robot vs the aztec mummy, and astro zombies at a video store. They were selling every video in their store for $6 each,more money for ones marked with a white tag. Guess the price will go down futher when they get closer to going out of business. The place is pretty gross with the smell of cigarette smoke everywhere and ugly carpets but it has a nice collection of stranger horror films.
Basketcase 2 and 3 I had wanted to see for awhile. Pretty much expecting for them not to have the campiness or feeling of the first but to possibly be ok. Video dead I have seen before, just wanted an original of it. Astro zombies and robot vs the aztec mummy looked pretty campy and like classic b movies. Has anyone seen either? Just wait until you see the one "zombie" run out of juice and need to improvise. It does have Carradine spouting techno-babble though.

Title: Re: New purchases Post by: kyle dusty on June 21, 2001, 03:01:16 AM great to hear others are "looking"..i found(but didn't buy)basketcase 1,2,and three at a local chain store called"MOVIE TRADING COMPANY"in irving ,texas..they wanted $8.99 for each of them..too much for me,but if you have to have them,i guess the price would be reasonable enough..i've only seen part 1..was funny when i saw it back in 91'..$6.00 isn't too bad..
