Post by: Dave: Blackeye15 on May 17, 2003, 03:58:19 AM
AW MAN! I just got back from seeing "Matrix Reloaded" and I gotta say it's not a disapointment 5/5 for sure! So cool! So Inspering! So Dazziling I could go watch it again and still be amazined again go see the "Matrix Reloaded" as soon as possible!
I also saw a trailer for "Freddy vs. Jason" Looks like they FINALLY made that movie, god seems like they've been talking about for years. And I also say a trailer for "Terminator 3" the trailer looks good but thats normal nowadays for the trailer to be cooler than the actualy movie. Gotta go now.

The fact that we still have one more Matrix movie to go after this one - vomit.
The fact that Daniel Bernhardt of Future War fame is in them - well, still vomit, but pretty and amusing vomit.

I loved the movie also. I feel that Neo is'nt using his full potential, if I had total controll over the physics of the Matrix, I'd do alot more than kung-fu.

I am STILL recovering, and I saw it about 9 hours ago. I guess it's because of the question posed by the Oracle, do we ever make any choices in life, or do we simply ponder the reasons why we make them? The first movie made me think a lot about how I place importance on things that may not matter in the unplugged world. Looks like the sequel will do it all over again.

Has anyone else noticed the emphasis on "101" in this movie? See it again and you'll know what I mean.

Praise to the Brothers

I just saw it last night.  Interesting film, there is some thought beyond all the special effects.  (Haven't seen the first one yet.)

Now, on to special effects.  OK, I saw it on one of them huge curved screens ( and appropriate sound system).  First  (well first there were all the goddamned f**king ads, but that's another thread) they showed a bunch of previews.  The one that really got into my head (and not in a good way either) was 2Fast 2Furious.  The problem was the sound was too damn loud and the action clips came too quickly.   My brain just could not process it all, and I wound up with a big headache.  Don't want to see that movie now.  Same problem with the upcoming Will Smith flick (which looked to be a comedy version of 2Fast, can't even remember the title now).

Same problem with the freeway scene in Matrix II.  It was too much coming in too quickly

Memo to Hollywood:  Relearn how to develop a scene rather than throw more and more special effects faster and faster.

Spoiler!

My brother isn't a HUMUNGOUS fan of Kung Fu fighting like I am. But he said the Neo vs (tons of) Mr. Smith was by far one of the coolest fight that he'll ever see. Just a random fact from me. I was a littie disapointed that there was no werewolf though (remeber when the woman shot a guard and said "Not many people load there guns with silver bullets) but the ghost twin were really cool.

101 is also in the first Matrix movie...it was Neo's apartment number...however, what more significance there may be, I'm not sure...
