Title: Off Topic: One more firearms query for Andrew
Post by: Ash on May 21, 2003, 04:23:41 AM
I was curious Andrew....

What type of firearms do you personally own?

I was curious because I stand to inherit a great deal of them from my father as stated in his will.

I know that he has alot.
At least 100 of them that I've seen locked in several expensive gun safes.

Mostly shotguns and rifles....many that would be considered works of art and worth quite a bit of money.

He has no pistols that I know of for I have not seen any.

He also has many different types of loaders for re-using spent shells that I assume I'll get as well.

I presently do not own any firearms myself.

My father is 60 this year and probably has at least 20 years left in him.

I feel that it will be a strange thing having never owned a firearm of any sort and then all of a sudden to be in possesion of so many.

And one more.....is the M249 SAW made by Colt?
I've heard it called "The Stoner Surgeon" before.

I have a number.  Need to get another 30-06 and have been wanting the Winchster Model 70.  Just have to save up a grand to do it.

Good old Winchester 12 gauge pump.  A very old double barrel shotgun that was my great, great grandfathers.  A pair of .22 rifles (great to go plinking with), a S&W .45 (older model, during their good years) with some trigger and slide work done on it, a S&W .22 target pistol, and an Interarms .38 pistol (actually Katie's).  Not a huge number, but I get to play with firearms all the time.  My want list is the 30-06, a 20 gauge for Katie, and a good compact carry pistol.  Looking at either one of the older S&W .357s or a Kimber (.40 or .45).  Katie fired one of the S&W small frame .357s, from the "Lady Smith" line, with .38 ammo in it at the factory store a few years back and she wants one of those.
