Title: Lord of the WuTang
Post by: Mr.Smashy on June 28, 2001, 11:49:58 AM
Has anyone else seen this classic Jet Li movie that existed so thoroughly in the realm of bad, that they never even bothered finishing it (or making sequals maybe...who knows...)?
To refresh your memory it involves:
1) Monk's who are strapped to boulders that pass on their powerful Kung Fu to people by beating the snot out them
2) Jet Li!
3) A "Vampire" kung fu master
4) A cool underground battle tactic and resulting fight scene
5) A large scale coreographed broadway style  movement peice with accompanying bad asian music....in the middle of a major battle
6) Incredibly bad (worse the normal) translations
7) etc....

If anyone remembers this movie, I would love to find out more about who made this and why it was never finished (as well as if they have made anymore). While it is not a good movie, it is one of the more amusing asian fight ones I have seen. I think it was made in about 1992. I checked out the IMDB.org, but I couldn't find anything. I am going to go back and look again right now, but I though I would ask.

It's also called "Kung fu Cult Master" it didn't do well enough in Hong Kong for a sequal to be made.  I thought it was stellar.
