Title: Wimps (1986) Post by: Raffles on July 19, 2001, 03:19:57 PM After purchasing the "Commemorative Edition" of Porky's, I had no choice but to explore Video Oasis' gigantic selection of 80's teen booby movies. The box on Wimps: "The Nerds get revenge, but the Wimps get the girls!". There aren't really a group of wimps in this movie, just one and he seems to enjoy general accpetance (he is part of a frat). Just barely watchable. Cameo by porn star Annie Sprinkle at a strip joint.

THAT might just be THE GREATEST genre catagory name I have EVER heard! Hahahahaha! "Can I help you find something sir"? "Uh, yeah. I'm looking for the "Eighties Teen Booby Movie" section...." "Yes sir, right this way." But, for the eighties flick fan that wants it ALL IN ONE film, the ultimate "eighties teen/comedy/horror/rock n' roll/booby movie" has got to be TRICK OR TREAT - featuring "SKIPPY", of FAMILY TIES fame - in the lead role! [I think you could add "gets the girl" to the above description as well, but I don't really remember.] Upon viewing a scene - the specifics of which escape me at the moment, hey, it's been a long time since I've seen it - where our man, "Skippy", is being communicated with by his dead, heavy metal hero via his cassette tape playing backwards, a friend of mine broke out into hysterical laughter and ominously repeated EXACTLY what it sounded like to us: "you are the paint...the paint is you..." Hey, Andrew! What about this one? And remember kids, if you're ever attacked by a dead heavy metal star an effective, but temporary, solution is to flush him down the toilet. Also, on the advice of Vice magazine (a pretty cool zine, sort of like the wildest stuff from spin, details, and a skate zine rolled in to one check it out at viceland.com) I rented "revenge of the cheerleaders" total brain deterioration! Featuring David Hasselhoff as "Boner"!!!!
