ACT OF VIOLENCE (1948) - This is a very well made post WWII film starring Van Heflin who played the little boys father in SHANE. It's a story of two guys who were captured and put into a Nazi concentration camp. Van Heflin's character causes all of his men to be killed trying to escape and after the war he lives a good life with family and a home, but one of his men survived with a limp and is out to kill him for betraying his own men. Great film ! Story, cinetography, lighting, acting all great. It could pass for an Orson Welles film visually. TCM showed it today.
