Title: RAW MEAT Post by: The Burgomaster on November 20, 2003, 10:13:54 AM I bought this DVD several weeks ago, but I just got around to watching it yesterday. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.
The story is about a descendant of one of the survivors of an 1892 cave-in who lives in the London subway system and cannibalizes people. Donald Pleasance is very good as a funny/sarcastic police inspector (he actually made me laugh out loud several times with his snappy remarks). Christopher Lee also shows up briefly (he has one scene). Some of the gore includes: * Rats eating a severed arm * A man's head split open with a shovel * A man impaled on a broom handle It sort of reminded me of a British version of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (but not as good). I think I paid around $10 for this DVD (widescreen, too)! It is worth every penny of it.
