Title: Personal Film Fests Post by: ulthar on December 22, 2003, 12:53:03 PM Defining a "film fest" as three or more movies, what are some films with the SAME ACTOR (even as voice tallent) that you can host a 'fest' from your personal collection?
Most of ours are more mainstream movies (we tend to rent b-movies or watch them on tv), but here's a few. We have a LOT of doubles, that's why I figured three or more would trim the list a little. Here's some of ours: Harrison Ford: Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Devil's Own, Six Days Seven Nights, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger Arnold Schwartzenegger: Conan: The Destroyer, Raw Deal, True Lies, Kindergarten Cop, The Terminator, T2: Judgement Day Julia Roberts: Mystic Pizza, Pretty Woman, Conspiracy Theory Mel Gibson: Conspiracy Theory, The Road Warrior, Braveheart Richard Gere: Officer and a Gentleman, First Knight, Pretty Woman Liam Neeson: Rob Roy, Krull, Nell Kurt Russel: Star Gate, Used Cars, Escape from New York Val Kilmer: Top Gun, Real Genius, Ghost and the Darkness Eddie Murphy: Shrek, 48 Hours, Trading Places Jack Nicholson: One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Going South, The Shining Mike Myers Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Shrek James Earl Jones: The Hunt for Red October, Clear and Present Danger, The Lion King, SW, ESB, RotJ. That's all I can think of at the moment .... I am sure there are some more. It's kinda hard to categorize the movies you own this way! Title: Re: Personal Film Fests Post by: Scott on December 25, 2003, 01:53:15 AM If I had a Film Fest at home with only three films from my collection they would be:
RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON (episode #1) - Would show three 15 minute serials between movies and it covers my Sci-Fi for the night. Till everyone showed up. 1) DJANGO - Start of with a Speghetti Western. Radar Men from the Moon (episode #2) 2) THE DEVILS NIGHTMARE - It's a Euro-Shocker in Color Radar Men from the Moon (episode #3) 3) RETURN OF THE BLIND DEAD - Because my Tombs of the Blind Dead is subtitled. EXTRA WEIRD SAMPLER - It's atleast 2 hours of great trailers to send'em home. Sounds like about 7 hours of entertainment. Title: Re: Personal Film Fests Post by: Grumpy Guy on December 25, 2003, 05:44:11 AM I'm waiting 'till next year for m yfilm festival. I'm guessing around the end of november. It'll run like this:
The Fellowship of the Ring, extended edition The Two Towers, extended edition The Retun of the King, extended edition Yep. That'll just about do it. In the mean time, I've toyed with having friends over for a super-hero filmathon. I just can't decide if I should do it mainstream (That would be Hulk-Spiderman-Daredevil), or more... off the wall... (Dr. Strange, Super Girl, Buckaroo Banzai). I don't actually HAVE Dr. Strange or Super Girl, but I'm pretty sure I could find them for fairly cheap. In either case, I would intersperse the movies with ancient marvel cartoons. The original Hulk cartoon, for instance. Just plain good fun there.
