Title: The Wild Westerners (1962)

THE WILD WESTERNERS (1962) - This ridiculous yet captivating film was shown on Encore Western Channel this morning. A couple of you may have seen it. The fim stars Nancy Kovaks and James Philbrook who both did mega appearances in 60's TV shows. (Philbrook also did a number of Italian Westerns). This whole film is chuck full of presumptuous statements that wouldn't even have been brought up in normal conversation. We have all seen this in film before, but this movie is without a doubt the champion of unrealistic dialogue. It's this very point that I bring up this movie because it's worth the viewing. I was both captivated and humored (of the unintentional kind) by this Western film. They also make reference to the Cartrights, Virginia City, and even use the word bonanza even though the film is totally unrelated as far as I know. The original BONANZA ran from 59-73.
