Title: Amusing asides
Post by: Newt on January 16, 2004, 11:14:14 AM
I am certain this topic comes up from time to time.  Forgive me if it is 'old' to most of you.

I caught a few minutes of "Wizards of the Lost Kingdom" early this a.m.  The first fight scene is pathetically slow, and just plain awful.   Then, as he stands among the fallen bodies, the 'hero' (Bo Svenson) shakes his head a bit and says, "ooof.  That's bad."  -  Oh yeah, it WAS!    I thought  I'd  die laughing.

Almost as amusing as Boromir (Sean Bean) in "The Fellowship of the Ring", touching the broken sword and saying, "Still sharp".    I saw this at home - tell me, was there any reaction in theaters?  Because I giggled, bigtime.

Any more worth sharing?  I am sure there are many I have not caught due to ignorance on my part - or they go by too quietly.

My big brother took us to the drive in once to watch a movie called The Wizard of Mars. It had John Carradine  as the Wizard. Anyway, the astronauts are lost  and as one comes over the hill he spots a road apparently made out of gold leading to a big palace. He says, "Hey, I think I found something!"
