Title: 50 Movie DVD Megapacks $29.95!? Post by: trekgeezer on February 05, 2004, 10:14:23 AM I got some spam today with the link listed below that claims to sell these Megapacks for $29.95. The Horror pack has 50 movies on 12 DVD's for $29.95. It has a lot of Vincent Price classic stuff like Last Man on Earth, House on Haunted Hill , etc. It also has Nosferatu, Metropolis, Little Shop of Horrors, and a lot of others that go from classics to cheapies. They also have a Family Classics, Mystery Classics, and 100 episode TV classics sets.
Anybody here ever dealt with these folks? I was wondering about the quality. http://store.dvdmegapacks.com Title: Re: 50 Movie DVD Megapacks $29.95!? Post by: Mr_Vindictive on February 05, 2004, 10:49:30 AM Looks kinda shoddy.
I would like to have that horror collection though. Looks awfully sweet. Title: Re: 50 Movie DVD Megapacks $29.95!? Post by: Velvet Brotha on February 05, 2004, 02:51:57 PM I've never dealt with them before but I'd be aliitle weary if I were spammed with that kind of offer. I heard that Deep Discount DVDs is the best place to get hooked up.

It's been restored as much as possible, and has lots of commentary. Sounds to me like Megapacks are just plain old copies w/ no extras all jammed onto as few discs as possible. OK for run of the mill movies, but not for good ones.

If, like me, you're really on a budget and save every buck you can, www.dvdpricesearch.com is a great place to compare. Usually Deep Discount wins, but occasionally you'll see a box set cheaper somewhere else.
