Title: Did anyone NOT like "Hellboy"?
Post by: nobody on April 05, 2004, 11:44:24 AM
I thought the movie was entertaining, but had some small technical flaws (obvious wire work, a few bad cgi moments, etc). I'm still glad I saw it, but I'm also a fan of the Hellboy comics.

I'm wondering, did anyone not like the movie?

I have to say that it doesn't sound like something I'd be interested in seeing, judging from the previews.

Visible wires is a VERY minor flaw. Takes a lot more than that to make a bad movie...like a sucky script or bad acting (see, at your own peril, Naked Killer or Superman 4)

Also, film reviewers always say they same things about most films they see eg, "Poorly acted", "Atrocious drivle", "Mundane" and a load of other superlatives they don't understand. Most hail Lost Highway as brilliant, whereas to others who like a bit of plot in films thought it was a very messed up, LSD inspired pile of rubbish.

I only read one of the comics, but I wouldn't mind the chance to view it.
