"House of the Dead" is probably the goofiest movie I've ever seen. There's so many problems with it, it would take me hours to describe to you. I'll just tell you this: I was laughing through it so much that tears were running down my face. Of course, it wasn't meant to be a comedy. If you're going to watch it for a SERIOUS good time, stay far, far away!!!

Gotta admit though, you can't top watching Jurgen Prochnow flush what little respect he had left down the toilet. Christ, they even make a lame reference to Das Boot near the beginning almost to add insult to injury.  And hell, I could go on forever about the lame gunfights and even lamer scenery. Usually when you go call a movie "House of the Dead" you usually want to try and make the house as eerie and impressive as possible, instead of a silly  two story shack. And I'm sure everyone was baffled by the fact that the idiot director thought it was a good idea to splice actual VIDEO GAME FOOTAGE into the movie every 2 minutes for no concievable reason whatsoever. And  he should also be arrested and given a life sentence for abusing the Matrix style camera work to an absurd degree (He stops and rotates the camera around every character during one of the gunfights, even some of the damn zombies, for nearly a total of ten times in just a couple of minutes!!!). And all those problems I mentioned above are just the tip of the iceburg this turd of a movie has going for it. My advice, stay away, stay far away. Even if you show some morbid interest in watching it do so within the safety of a hazmat suit, I'm not joking it's that awful. :P
