Title: Wierd things in Shaolin Soccer DVD Post by: Neon Noodle on May 07, 2004, 10:22:36 PM Okay - so I caught this trailer on apple.com and decided to buy it.
It took a while to muddle through the beginning, but it was a pretty funny movie! Since I have the Mandarin version, there is no English track, but that was expected. I don't mind watching movies in their native language. But here's the wierd thing. There is some kind of sub-menu that plays a different version of the film that the one in the theater (which only lasted 87 minutes). It's like the "white rabbit" option in the Matrix, it shows longer scenes in the movie. I clicked on the little soccer dude at the scene where Sing met the goalie girl, and out of nowhere, everyone started doing this "Thriller" dance! Skaboi's probably the only one who may have caught this - but has anyone else seen it? Mine has Eng. Subtitles and all, plus bloopers, a couple o' trailers and a making of feature. I bought mine at a Fangoria Weekend of Horrors back in 2001.
