Title: Seductresses Seducers Seductions
Post by: BoyScoutKevin on May 22, 2004, 01:19:35 PM
A couple of months ago, the cable channel Bravo had a three-part series on seductresses, seducers, and seductions in film. While I appreciate the effort that went into making the series, and found the series interesting overall, I did not find any of the top twenty seductions that interesting. They were all too well known, relatively speaking, and they were all too "vanilla." That is, they were all heterosexual man seduces heterosexual woman, and/or heterosexual woman seduces heterosexual man. I like the more obscure and the less "vanilla." For example . . .

The obscure: "Aria"
The gay: "A Beautiful Thing"
The threesome: "Cruel Intentions 2"
The violent: "Martin"
The illegal: "Private Lessons"
The lesbian: "The Rainbow"

and/or any combination of the above, such as "Fright Night" and/or "Lair of the White Worm."

So, what is your favorite film seduction and why?

I'd say the scene with Harker and Dracula's brides in Coppola's version of Dracula rates pretty high on my list, because it features Monica Bellucci as well as causing Keanu Reeves a good deal of pain.
