So, you are in Monroe, LA.  I used to live not far from there. I have bookmarked your site and  will visit it often. Good luck on gaining more stations.

Greetings Trek Geezer,
Where 'bouts in Northern LA? We're on 100 cable systems in the region and in Soutern Arkansas on KEJB UPN 43. The people of Northern LA in my experience are some of the nicest people I've met! They love the show there and have been giving super feedback to my station. The Programing Director called Friday, wants to expand my weekend programing by another hour! I'm hoping the good vibe will spread like a disease...throughout the south east and eventually all places where they love classic cult and genre films. Thanks for visiting my site. Please leave some feedback on my pathetically inferior forum. I love this Phorum format...we will probably adopt something like this, soon. See You Saturday Night...

Your horror host,
Mr. Lobo

Greetings Evil Doctor,
Even Though Mr. Lobo is a legal Saint in the Church Of Ed Wood. Even though I single handedly brought Tim Burton's "Ed Wood" to our city's film festival and hosted a special midnight showing of "Plan Nine" for my first live Mr. Lobo show. Even though I will host a huge music/film fest on October 17th 2004 called EdWoodstock..."Lobo" is My Real Family Name. No joke. It's the "Mister" that's made up.

Your New Horror Host,
Mr. Lobo

Greetings Flangepart,
Hopefully, you're not talking about a "hit" list. There are quite a few choices out there...I certainly hope you give Mr. Lobo a try. I'd like to think of myself as a taller, darker, Elvira with a moustache, goatee, no breasts, and more modest clothng.

I'm listed on something called "TV's Greatest Horror Hosts" Web Ring I have a Graphic with a Link on the lower right column of the Cinema Insomnia site, http://www.cinemainsomnia.com if you want to check the ring out. See You Saturday Night...

Your New Horror Host,
Mr. Lobo

Oy, Skaboi!
Thanks for the compliments! You are too kind! I sure do appreciate the warm welcome I've recieved here at badmovies.org.
I am in the process of finding brave new channels and I am also in negotiations with a fledging cable network you may have heard of.
Hopefully, Cinema Insomnia will be on in North Carolina soon. Perhaps you could tell me which if any of these stations might be good candiates for this kind of programing? Er, And if any are nearby or you have a phone and you're feeling motivated perhaps you could give Mr. Lobo the name of their programming director. (Boy, are you sorry you mentioned it!)

I saw you mentioned Va. and I go to college in Harrisonburg Virginia (home of James Madison University) and is also close to Virginia Tech and University of Virginia. In any case, if you air here I would be happy to rally up the b movie/ horror fans around your show or website. Welcome aboard.

Wow,  nice website Mr. Lobo. Really loved my local horror shows from the 70's. CHILLER THEATER and MONSTER MOVIE MATINEE. Hope to see some of your programming in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area. Out of the films from you had last season these are the ones I liked:

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
SANTO VS. THE VAMPIRE WOMAN
THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE
CARNIVAL OF SOULS
THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE
A BUCKET OF BLOOD
IN SEARCH OF ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS (nice entry)
FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS
GIGANTUS VS. THE SMOG MONSTER
WASP WOMAN
DEVIL DOLL (saw part of this, looked good)

Here are some that I would like to see:

MONSTER FROM A PREHISTORIC PLANET (just bought a $3.99 DVD of it today)
SHE-CREATURE
THE HORROR OF PARTY BEACH
GIGANTIS: THE FIRE MONSTER
INVASION OF THE NEPTUNE MEN
THE DAY TIME ENDED
CREATURE
SUPER ARGO (may have seen when younger)
GAMERA SUPER MONSTER (may have seen when younger)

Here are some stations in the backwoods of Arkansas. I know that KLRT-FOX used to run Elvira many years ago. They also showed lots of cheesy kung fu movies. KLRT and KASN are both owned by Clear Channel.

Hope you have luck finding new outlets , God knows we need something on late night besides infomercials.

Greetings Scott,
Thanks for the compliments AND the COMPREHENSIVE feedback on The movies! Mr. Lobo thinks you'd like how we "wrap" them in the show segments.

Do you think either of these stations would go for Cinema Insomnia? can you think of any others? These are the only two I have complete contact info for. I still need to get the names of the Program Directors. If you'd got the gumption you could find out for me or tell them to contact me.

Greetings Evan,
It's monster fans like you who are the backbone of the industry!
We always need trivia research, fan art, word of mouth, procurement of Indy short films, movie trailers, retro commercials and complete features on 16mm, betasp or  DV, postcard distribution, links and plugs on the net, letter writing, phone calls, props, costumes, professional graphics, actors, interviews, fan club, event and convention support, etc...
Let's get "Cinema Insomnia" on in Harrisonburg I'd love to get the names of programing directors for these stations...I've always felt there's something weirdly cool about SE Virgina(Virgina beach. Norfolk) and we gota lot of support there...Let's see if the same is true with Harrisonburg.

Well, well, well....this looks like the kinda mutant humor i like!
Dig the horn rims and mustach, Mr. Lobo.
Any friend of Doktor Goulfinger is a man to be reconed with!
Not to be confused with Amand Rekonwith, the Events director at the Columbus State home for the Reality Impared, where i'm working on my alternate personality, Meatloaf Mike.
Amanda Day Rekonwith has a thing for B-movie hosts, has been actors, and small human consuming plants.
If she ever offers you the Elderberry wine, do NOT ask for the one with the "Special sauce."
Trust me on this....

I gotta get the DVD with "Gigantis"....yes, with humor, there is hope!

Title: Re: Horror Host Mr. Lobo comes aboard!
Post by: Mr. Lobo on June 08, 2004, 06:40:19 PM
You're quite the humorsmith yourself? Are you sure you're NOT Doktor Goulfinger?

My houseplant cohost, Miss Mittens, has only tried to eat me on two occasions in the history of the show...and that's just because she was on the Akins diet! I think classifing her a man eating plant just because of a few isolated incidents is typecasting and speciesist!

I met Amanda Reckonwith at Wondercon in SF. He's/She's one of those gender confused cosplay types...hanging out by the snack bar with Erma Giddon and Holly Cost! I seem to attract a lot of those...ever since I became a horror host my status has elevated from freak magnet to freak lightening rod. Now, Mr. Lobo is not judging--just because I put my sock garters on one leg at a time does not give me the right to weirdobash!

As for the Elderberries..."I never drink...well, y'know."

Your tea toddling blood sucking Horror Host,
Mr. Lobo

Anyway, best of luck and I really dig your choice of films.  Right up my alley.

Do you know if your show will hit Georgia at all? And is there anyone I can bug to get your show out here?

Best wishes and good luck.

The Atlanta metro area is a MUST for us. It's a huge market. BUT Mr. Lobo want you to see it wherever you are...so if you can't get these stations send me a list of what stations you do get in and tell Mr. Lobo what part of Georgia you live.(This talking in the third person thing is kinda sill but it's sort of my shtick)

I'd love it if you would "bug" or put me in touch with the program diector(Ve Vant Names!) of any of these stations...

Greetings Mr. Andrini,

Thanks for the kind words! All that stuff about New Yorkers being obnoxious was LIES! LIES! Mr. Lobo's eyes are opened now!

The New York City metro area  is  the DMA Market Ranked #1! We would LOVE to get Cinema Insomnia on in the biggest market in the country. If our deal with "an unamed cable network" goes through we may be able to sneak in "on a wire" through the "side door" or some other better metaphor. Below are some stations you could call if your feeling charitable...send their programing director to our website or get his/her name so we can contact them. That would be HUGE!

Of course you can always buy the DVD's--only $15.00 and Mr. Lobo guarantees your satisfaction. "Gigantis: The Fire Monster" and "Creature" are a couple fan favorites...

Honestly Gerry!
The slightest inkling of the remote possiblity of abandoning Scifilm never had the vaguest notion of entering the deepest most obscure sub-regions mr. Lobo's mind. Scifilm has been VERY good to Mr. Lobo it is my favorite destination because so many of my most enthusiastic and loyal Cinsomniacs are there, Not to mention some very intellegent contributors who keep Mr. Lobo on his toes...AND the fact that (confidentially) even though I'm a Horror Host I've always had a soft spot for SCIENCE FICTION!(don't tell anyone)
