ACNE - 2003 (Unrated). (DVD) Directed and written by Rusty Nails. Starring Rusty Nails and Tracey Hayes. Siblings Franny (Hayes) and brother Zoe (Nails) get up for a class trip. Zoe drinks some tapwater, passes out, and wakes to spray pus of noggin origin all over poor Franny's early morning nappy mane. Other teens become involved as this B&W 16mm flick with the flavor of a late 50s horror flick shows off a dash of modern self aware comedy. It's got a hair-impared love story and sentimental siblings surviving an oily siege; honest employees uncovering conspiracies while the future remains uncertain as oily pimples pop. It's even got a hungry Fetal Boy force fed by Moonooney as ordered by moody Kundoor and if you don't know what that means then watch the film in all its glossy slimey glory. It's a fun no-budget flick that knows how to rock the soundtrack section as well as say Clerks while maybe even looking nearly as pricey as Pi.
