Title: The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
Post by: raj on June 24, 2004, 01:34:33 PM
I just read about this movie in the local paper, it is apparently part spoof and part homage to bad sci-fi movies.

Anyone seen it?  Like it or hate it?

I love it too!  I watched it for about the fifth time last week at my brother's house.  He likes it too.  We laugh hysterically and his wife just shakes her head.  The sequel, Return of the Skeleton, is also great.   I sleep now!

I like it, its a bit TOO self referential, and some of the more hard core fans on here loathe it.  But in my book its
1) good fun
2) a loving tribute to my favorite genre..cheesy sci fi monster flicks.

 I found it pretty humourous.
A sequel?! Ooh, shiny!

The skeleton's voice was the funniest part, honestly.

I've reviewed it, and am one of the ones who thinks it plays on making fun of the genre too much.

My favorite character is Animala, and any favorite part would have to involve her, mostly due to her "Rowr!" which was series enough to be really funny.  She's also the catalyst in the humorous meal scene, so I'll nominate that for the funniest part of the movie.

It's funny but I think it would have been much better as a short instead of a feature length film.

I enjoyed it, but I actually prefer Larry Blamire's other film, "Trail of the Screaming Forehead".

heh heh heh. Indeed, AndyC.
Andrew, I guess that's also correct. It was a few years ago I saw it and I mostly just remembered the skeleton voice.
WingedSerpent, I can also agree with that. I was amused but kept wondering when it was going to end.

I haven't seen the sequel yet, but the first movie was as an absolute hoot.  I loved how the scientist kept talking about how he specilized in science.

My favorite characters are Lattis and Kro-Bar ("fold midsection!"). The scene with the stairs and door kill me every time  :bouncegiggle:
