Title: Classics on this weekend Post by: trekgeezer on October 08, 2004, 05:36:33 PM TCM has another weekend full of classics of interest. (All times Central)
Saturday Oct. 9 11:00am - Forbidden Planet - The Krell had it made until those pesky Id monsters showed up. It's got Robbie the Robot, so you know you want to watch it again. 3:00pm - Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - Gotta love Peter Sellers and I know you love seeing Slim Pickens riding the ultimate bucking bronco.. 5:00pm - House of Wax - Vincent Price figures out a new way to make those wax figures realistic. Sunday Oct. 10 1:00pm - The Naked Spur - Jimmy Stewart and Janet Leigh in a psychological western. 3:00pm - Psycho - Anthony Perkins should have just changed his name to Norman Bates after this film. Never saw him as anyone else. 7:15pm - The Devil Bat - It's Bela Lugosi , of course there are bats. 8:30pm - Jaws - I wonder if Robert Shaw tastes like chicken? Every Friday night this month is dedicated to Peter Lorre (he and Anthony Perkins are both high on the creepy scale) Check out TCM (http://www.turnerclassicmovies.com/) for more classic viewing options. (I almost sound like an ad, but I do love this station for continuing to show great movies uncut and uninterrupted.) I haven't seen house of wax in years! AMC not showing anything good?
