Title: Anyone else seen this movie?
Post by: David L. on October 25, 2001, 07:46:08 PM
I am curious to know if anyone else has ever seen a movie entitled "Manos: The Hands Of Fate".  It is absolutely incredible in its badness;  shot in the 1960's, it aspires to be a really scary horror film but instead, gives us a monster named Torgo whose monstrous deformity is that he has really big knees. Yes, big knees. The film was written by, produced by, directed by, and basically starring a guy named Hal P. Warren who was at the time, a fertilizer salesman. Yep, a fertilizer salseman. It is frankly hard to imagine a worse film than this; I for one think that it would make an excellent contribution to any website about bad movies; however, none of the major sites that I have been to has any mention at all of this film....could someone help me out?

I know where to buy the film and have seen it, but keep waiting for Rhino to release it on DVD with both the MST3K and uncut versions.

Otherwise, it would have been reviewed by now.  Goodness knows that enough people have asked for an article on this horrid thing.

I...man...i don't think i could handle this thing without Joel and the Bots. Not big on suffering alone, so to speak. (Torgo,Torgo,Torgo,Torgo......!)

I still say that it's the worst movie ever created. This movie makes "Dude, Where's My Car?" look like a cinematic masterpiece!

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint), it appears as though the Rhino DVD will include the MSTed version only (To make up for it, they're including the material from the "Poopie" blooper tape, but it's just not the same). Too bad... call me sick, but I've always wanted to see Manos raw. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and get the Sinister Cinema video.
