Title: Minor celebrityhood/ZIPPY comic -- Post by: peter johnson on December 06, 2004, 09:01:46 PM My wife, Dixie, & I submitted an idea to Bill Griffith, the writer of the ZIPPY comic strip in your daily paper, & he's using it & copying from photos we sent in in the January 13, 2005 strip.
He already sent us a signed copy of the original artwork with a nice personal note. Now that's a pretty cool thang!! Read our names in the "tip o' the pin" margin!! Are we having Pop Culture yet? peter johnson/denny crane Title: Re: Minor celebrityhood/ZIPPY comic -- Post by: Dave Munger on December 06, 2004, 09:26:24 PM Wow, I didn't know you could do that, now I want to. Reminds me of SlowWave ( http://slowwave.com ) , a comic where you send him your dreams and he illustrates them. Or Pathetic Geek Stories for that matter http://patheticgeekstories.com (guessing the URL). It's based on true stories of horrific awkwarndnes, I sent them one but they didn't use it.
And thus, I plug my blog: http://davemunger.blogspot.com Title: Re: Minor celebrityhood/ZIPPY comic -- Post by: lester1/2jr on December 09, 2004, 04:24:44 PM I'm a huge Zippy fan. that's very cool. I like the old comic book stuff just because it's so crazy. More Zippy. less griffy/ philosphy.
