I have learned not to pre-judge a remake as I have seen some excellent remakes. Unfortunately the excellent remakes are a minority. It certainly does ask the question: what is there to improve upon? I think 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'Mary Poppins' both fall into that category. Couldn't you imagine Pee Wee Herman as Wonka? Of course they would then have to rationalize why the song 'Tequilla' is in the movie (: Bob

Though not too much is known by me at this stage, I did see the teaser trailer and it looks pretty good. Whether or not it holds up as a film and not a trailer remains to be seen, but I am pretty excited by this film. He looks a bit like MJ and sounds detached enough from reality to be MJ. Plus then there's the whole kid fetish thing going on. Kind of adds a whole new "Eeeeeeeew" layer to the movie.
