Title: Point of Terror (1971)
Post by: Scott on January 03, 2005, 10:47:49 PM
POINT OF TERROR (1971) - Here is an strange film starring some guy named Peter Carpenter who also wrote and produced this film. One of the novelties of this film is co-star Dyanne Thorne as the record moguls wife. The main character meets her on the beach and his desire for riches gets the best of him. It's part of Rhino's Horrible Horror Collection. Check it out as it is a weird film that isn't really a horror film. The star not only writes and produces the film, but sings a number of lounge songs during the film. His character is a lounge singer and he sings extra long versions of each song in this film. Again check this one out as you might get a kick out of this one.

Way cool! I'll make it a 'point' to watch this one.

Yea, I kinda liked it. Found some of it quite funny. The singing goes on and then on like a unintenional scene from AIRPLANE or something. The rest of the film is ok also. The film is actually some kind of drama about greed.

Sometimes it is entertaining to see obscure films. If for no other reason, just to see why they are obscure.

That HORRIBLE HORROR COLLECTION has alot of obscure films. Been enjoying about half of them so far. I'm going to rate this collection when I'm done maybe next month.

I was quite impressed with the set (I have Vol 1 & 2). This is probably the first time some of these films have been on DVD. Even if they are not that good, it does expand my collection for a low investment.

I have both sets also. It's 16 films and I've only saw 7 so far. It's a uniquely bad collection. I'm glad to have picked it up.

I am quite impressed by a collection of 16 films of which I have only seen 2 (that I can identify by title). There may be one or two I won't be able to recognize until I see it. It certainly beats looking through through a DVD bin going, "Seen it, seen it, seen it, cool porn, seen it"

Apparently our friend from last night has also been posting using the screen names of unregistered users. He posted as Andrew 10001 this morning under the topic 'Ash seems to have a fan' and took credit for the mayhem using Andrew 10001's screen name.
