Title: Creatures from the Abyss - The Sequel Post by: Andrew on January 15, 2005, 06:57:59 AM This popped up via Slashdot. The link takes you to Snopes.com and, be warned, that site tends to use pop-up and pop-under ads. Still, the fish on the bottom left reminds me of "Creatures from the Abyss."
http://www.snopes.com/photos/tsunami/creature.asp The images were all taken from the site of this research group. There is lots to see, including the ship's log. I have to sort of pick which websites I want to see, so I will come back to this later at night (it is the middle of the afternoon here; I am waiting for some software to finish before heading out). It turns out the really ugly fish from the movie was probably a Fangtooth. Now that is a fitting name. http://www.oceans.gov.au/norfanz/CreatureFeature.htm "Dammit! Who opened the radioactive container?" - I love that line. Title: Re: Creatures from the Abyss - The Sequel Post by: Mr_Vindictive on January 15, 2005, 07:55:04 AM Saw that yesterday too Andrew.
I believe if I were to make a film, it'd have to be about that creepy ass crab featured on the page. Title: Re: Creatures from the Abyss - The Sequel Post by: peter johnson on January 15, 2005, 03:34:29 PM I just love snopes -- This is one of those sites I just wish I'd thought of, but really I don't suppose I'd have the time or energy to devote to it.
I'm just glad it's there -- peter johnson/denny crane Title: Re: Creatures from the Abyss - The Sequel Post by: Flangepart on January 16, 2005, 02:43:31 PM Ispiration for FRANKENFISH? You be the judge.
