I haven't seen COTLD yet but Demon....man that movies p**ses off just remembering it, I can't imagine anything mroe dull than it. The whole movie was pointless bored-to-tears  talk and at the end there's this really crappy 2 minute chase where nobody even gets killed or anything. If I ruled the world I'd put all those resposnsible for  The Demon in a holocaust.

Children had that too and MORE!!!!

Me too.

I admit I haven't seen demon but Children has got to be worse. Some REALLY bad movies make it so that you can make fun of them but this one is like it grabs your balls and twists them so you all you can utter is "uh uh..." and can't make any jokes at it.

Believe or not I've seen prove that it's not ALL the Directors fault I saw an email where the Producer's wife was the writter and she wouldn't change a THING and most likely fired anybody that disaggreed on her "perfect" script.(this is children not Demon I'm talking about. I don't know who's fault it is for Demon)

About COTLD: You can read the director's apology on IMDB. He did blame the overbearing script writer for ruining the movie... but I can't imagine how much better the movie would've been if he was allowed to make script changes. That entire script was unfixable. It needed to be tossed into the trash and started all over from scratch.

And let's not forget the infamous coffee pouring scene. That was an insane two minute long mistake that had nothing to do with script problems. If the director was any sort of decent filmmaker that scene never would've happened. :)

True but ANYTHING that would make this movie even the slightist bit better would be welcomed with open arms

Oh god I don't remember that but now I'm having a strange erge to re rent it just to kill a good chunk of my brain and see this "coffee scene" I do remember the part where the main guy and the main girl spend a good 20 minutes cutting back and forth between the two getting ready for their date.

But I give merits where they're do. I liked the part where the old man dude mentions that Toast with Peanut Butter is his favorite for breakfast (mmm I add strawberry preserves on mine) This made me perk up for a second but alas the torent of crapness pulled me back down to bordom.

Okay I've talked far too much about CotLD so I'll add another movie to the list:

I Eat Your Skin

I turned it off after the first 10 minutes and returned it to the video store, that was a first and I pray it was also a last. I guess CotLD must have injuried my "Bad Movie Reflector Shield" and so I couldn't endure it through the entire film.

Okay I'll shut up now about terrible Zomibe films.

Frankenstien Island .  A bunch of idiotic people wander around for about 75 minutes before the Frankenstien monster shows up and then the island blows up or something.  Cameron Mitchell is locked up in a dungeon and doesn't remember anything.  God it was boring.

Demons of Ludlow is truly one of the worst.

Boring, and made very little sense.

2 words:
Darkness Falls

See, with B films I can understand budgetary restrictions, innane scripts and first time directors hoping to get the film done on time. There is no reasona big budget , heavily marketed film  should be THIS bad. ENough said, I may puke.

If "Resident Evil" is the worst horror film you've ever seen then you have not lived! There are so many horrible films out there I can't even think of the worst I've seen. The worst I've seen in the theaters in recent memory was "Cold Creek Manor." God that was atrocious.

"Breeders".  I saw this only once, back in the late 80's, before I had developed any sense of what makes a film good or bad, yet it was so *awful* I immediately recognised an instant Bad Movie.  The horror, the horror ...

Two horrors to be exact, the Dunwich Horror and the Amityville Horror 2. In Dunwich, Dean Stockwell was on autopilot the whole damn movie and the "monster" was just a tangled ball of rubber snakes. One of the few movies that almost drove me to tears. Amityville 2 wins an award for being one of the sleaziest horror films I've ever seen. I had to take a long shower afterward to wash the grime from that nauseating little movie off of me.

The Dunwich Horror is not as good as the book. I would have liked to have seen it the way AIP wanted it, with Peter Fonda and Annette Funecello (!).

the worst flick?!? .. hmm. well I'd go for Trilogy of terror because I recently rented it. I guess I  had forgotten how awful this "movie" is.  The movie consists of 3 horror stories which all suck monkey nuts. I guess they only could affort to pay one broad because it the same freakin woman that stars all 3 stories - what especially cracks me up is that she is wearing different wigs, makeup etc in the various episodes -  as if the audience have not figured out that this movie is god awful - check it out it will make you p**s your pants - me and my lads were laughing our brains out

Resident Evil is the worst horror movie you've ever seen?

Um...okay.  Ever seen a movie with a budget of less than $35 million?

Hmmm....maybe JESSE JAMES MEETS FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER, or perhaps THE KILLER SHREWS.  Or NIGHT OF THE GHOULS [personally, I think it's worse than PLAN 9.]  Or ORGY OF THE DEAD, a nudie-cutie so bad that you'll fast forward past the nude scenes to get to the talky parts.

Mr. Hockstatter,

that with the budget is difficult. The question is, what is worse for a movie?
a) that it had a big budget and still was a cinematic miscarriage or
b) that it had a small, low or no budget and maybe therefore became a load of crap

"Hard Rock Zombies" aka "Rock Zombies" is one of the most embarassing things I´ve ever seen... and I´ve seen a lot of crap!

I often mentioned it but again: "Porno Holocaust"

Oh, I'm just sticking up for Resident Evil because other than the senseless plot, I really like it.  I agree that some big budget films manage to be far worse than movies made for 1/100th the money.  It often seems as if the ego of the big budget folks is a much larger hindrance than a lack of money could ever be.

I just can't get into picking on movies that are direct-to-video.  It's like beating up on a retarded person.

I have no problem with it, since most movies were made to make money and I go so far to say that 80% of all bad movies are so bad because they were made of stolen ideas (or bad remakes or whatever) and the aim of their makers was to profit from other movies.
Best example: StarWars and StarCrash.

The other 20% consist perhaps of "art movies" or something that way...

The worst I have ever seen is Satan's Storybook. I thought that time and the proper meds had taken care of the damage created by this movie untill my loving wife found it and bought it on E-bay. Now I owe my paychecks to the pharmacy for all the meds. Seizures coming on too strong.....need my pills....................

Horror of Spider Island.
I own it.
It's locked in the cupboard.
I'm scared to take it out again . . .
Fun bad is good bad -- I mean, if we don't all love Ed Wood and Plan 9 and Phil Tucker & Robot Monster, what are we all here for?
I can never thank the person enough who gave me a copy of Invisible Invaders on DVD -- really, if you haven't had real fun with a bad horror movie recently, get this one asap & laugh yourself silly!
But . . . Horror of Spider Island . . . so many things . . . just WRONG about it . . .

20 other people have probably already said it, but for me: Manos-hands of fate.  & i don't even know if it would be considered a horror movie, more like a z-grade hippie horror movie shot on a super 8 home video camera.

I always thought Body Melt was the most idiotic horror film I'd ever seen, until I re-rented it 4 years ago and grew a loving affection for it.

So in it's place, we have a movie, that I guess I am seconding as I Eat Your Skin.

I have this on the 2-disc 4-movie Wal-Mart Flesh Feast collection, and when coupled with the hilariously awesome The Undertaker And His Pals, and the snake-eating-monkey action of old-school Stacy Keach in Slave Of The Cannibal God, I Eat Your Skin is so goddamn bad I want to swallow a cup of crushed fibreglass and gargle with Drano.

Children of the Living Dead  had a scene where folks trapped in the local diner telephoned for help. When help arrived, they fought themselves into the diner, so they could have a little pow-wow and then proceed to go back out and fight the zombies outside.

Then to clinche it, some inbred idiot was sitting in his car, parked in the middle of the melee, tossing lit sticks of dynamite at the zombies, until he dropped one back into his own lap.

City of the Living Dead was bad, too in a WTF kind of way.  Especially the guy who cracks up and puts on a tutu.

And Incredible Melting Man was really a head scratcher (and one of the funniest MST3K's).

Terror Toons is down there (good call Dave Munger), but I have to give the nod to Blair Witch II.  I admit, I thought BW1 was pretty scary the first time I saw it (it wasn't scary in the slightest the second time, but once was a charm in my opinion).  So I kind of had high expectations for the sequel.  It wasn't scary, the stillbirth dream sequence was utterly disgusting and completely pointless, and the self-referential humor fell very flat.  And its worst offense is that for all its faults, it didn't even manage to be haha funny like some of the bad movies in this thread.  No redeeming value.  A disgusting movie all around that thankfully killed the franchise.
