There are not many really good (i.e. entertaining) German bad movies. All the more I am proud to report about a pearl of German nonsense - and that movie is nonsense to the core. I´ve seen it the for the third time now and it hasn´t lost any of it´s childish and idiotic charme it had when I saw it first. What makes this movie so strange, so weird, so crazy is the cast: two "Stars" of German TV-slapstick-films in the 70ies - Rudi Carell and Ilja Richter. The latter one is in my eyes a half-god of bad taste. One of the standard jokes is that men whose clothes were eaten by a cow or stolen or gone by the wind are forced to slip into women´s clothes. It´s hard to describe what´s going on in this sorry efforts but believe me, if you would see them you would kick your TV out of the window or - like me - lean back, open a beer and enjoy it. So if you read the name ILJA RICHTER on a video/dvd be sure of holding good old German brainf**k in your hands - just watch it! |
