Title: Even more B-action figures!
Post by: Stefan Robak on March 15, 2001, 09:21:06 AM
Yep there are even more action figures based on B-Movies coming out soon.
Full Moon Toys is releasing a Puppet Master Toyline in which the evil puppets are cyborgs (...the Hell?)  Also there are figures based on upcoming Full Moon films Killjoy (the 27,652nd movie about a killer clown) and the Gingerdead Man (love that title).
Also, famous speical effects master Stan Winston (Aliens, Teminator 2, Aliens) is making toys now!  One of his new toy lines is a  reworking of old B-flicks.  Th monster are almost unrecognizable but totally cool.  Figures will be featured based on the following films: How to Make a Monster, the Day the World Ended, War of the Collosal Beast, Earth Vs. the Spider and Teenage Cavemen.  Now I want Stan Winston to make a souped up Torgo figure!

Also here are some non B-Movie toys to look out for(If your only interested in the B-Movie figures, please stop reading):
18-inch Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper figures, Classic Gundam figures (from all the other series), Cowboy Bebop figures (very cool anime), Soul Reaver, Bastard!!, Playboy (am I the only one distrubed by this?),  Classic style Transformers (YAY!), Reboot, Harry Potter (I've yet to ead a Harry Potter book), Akira, Metal Gear Solid 2, Tortured Souls (designed by Clive Barker.  Very disturbing),Reservoir Dogs,Road Warrior, the 5th Element, tons of Simpsons figures (including Hans Moleman!), Speed Racer, Space Ghost, and Saturday Night Live. Whew!

I think this counts. Bigblast has come out with a Spirit figure. Any Will Eisner Fan will want it. They once did a (tv?) movie of The Spirit. Never lived up to Eisner's skill as a writer. If you can write Character like Will Eisner, you,my friend, can Write! Only Astro City does Eisneresq stories. Both titles should be set to animation, to do justice to the artest skills....what are your fave. Comic book takeoffs?

I'm amped for two toy lines this year:

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN by SideshowToy

and

THE DARK CRYSTAL by Sideshow Toy

That second one has me dying. I saw 'The Dark Crystal' more times in a movie theater than any other movie in history. And they never put out a single proper 'toy.'

Oops can mean a bad thing sometimes but this is a good oops for B-fans.  The Stan Winston figures are based on UPCOMING MADE FOR CABLE REMAKES!  Yay!
