1)Personally I'm very sorry that "invasive behaviour" has made it necessary for us to do the whole register/password thing on this site. What a pain. 2)Does anyone know why posts from a year or 2 years ago are suddenly popping up as being current, when there are no new replies? Some of these are from Jan of 04 -- 3)Hey! Post by: BoyScoutKevin on June 04, 2005, 02:34:33 PM Tod Slaughter, while both he and his films are both highly regarded, at least in the U.K., I think he is just one of those British imports that do not translate well over here in the U.S. Which is probably why he is not well known here in the U.S.

The man is a badmovies given!!: Hammier than Vincent Price at his hammiest -- More overemotive than William Shatner -- Able to chew his weight in scenery before Oliver Reed can get that first curtain in his mouth -- And yet he can be genuinely scary as well, given the conventions of his chosen format/film-style. Plus, right or wrong, he seems to be genuinely enjoying himself, whether murdering an innocent or joking with the hired help. Hey, the Brits were right about Monty Python -- they're right about this guy, too!! Hey!! Maybe this is someone even VERMIN's never heard of!! Wouldn't THAT be amazing?!?! peter johnson/denny crane |
