Title: Re: American Movie Post by: SaintMort on September 16, 2005, 07:21:36 AM I was confused by it at first because when I rented it, I thought i was getting a mockumentary but the longer I watched the more I realized this was real. I thought it was alright, nothing extremely special.

I remember Roger saying that he has actually seen Mark's movie 'Coven' and that it really was watchable.
Ok - I was just on IMDb, and there is this thing going on between people who've seen both 'American Movie' and and an older documentary of the same type called 'Demon Lover Diary' (1980) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0206681/ Some say AM is better and that DLD is fake, and others say the very reverse. I haven't seen either movie (and DLD is nearly impossible to find anyway), but is there anyone here that has seen both (or knows someone who's seen both) and could explain as to why people have these opinions?
