Title: Invasion of the Girl Snatchers
Post by: Abby on January 01, 2002, 09:43:23 PM
Jeepers, I totally forgot to exploit Andrew's fine board for shameless self promotion in December.

The latest WG.com update is an "all-hell" special feature devoted to the forgotten drive-in classic "Invasion of the Girl Snatchers,"  aka "The Hidan of Maukbeiangjow."

Snatchers Special

This little Girdler detour boasts interviews with Hugh Smith (consummate Girdler actor and the man responsible for Ross Hagen's "The Glove," "Night Creature," "Moonshine County Express" and "The Student Body.") It's the most revealing site interview to date.

Also included is an interview with Carla Rueckert, who wrote, produced, and starred topless in "Invasion." Carla channels UFO spirits for a living. It's really a funny piece. There are shorter interviews with Invasion/Girdler stars Chuck Rubin and David Roster, too.

The Girl Snatchers feature was the December update, but I'm going to keep it in the spotlight for a few more weeks. I was very pleased with how it turned out.

Happy New Year! William Girdler.com was named a Yahoo Pick of the Year for 2001, which has me all giddy. Thanks to Andrew, who's not only a champion of bad movies, but a Girdler Olympian as well.

Thank to you Abby, for such a great site.  The "Girl Snatchers" piece is excellent.  Things come out in your interviews that I would never have guessed in a million years.

Yep Andrew, the Invasion of the Girl Snatchers stuff on her site is really fine, and fun.  (Kinda like Abby!)  Almost makes me wish I still had that movie on tape.  Almost!

And the WG.com site is deserving of all the kudos it can muster, mister. :)

Thanks, doods. Means a lot -- coming from two webmasters whose work I admire.
