The DVD box has a picture of a girl in a Playboy Bunny outfit holding a chain saw - how could that be anything less than spectacular? It's your typical haunted house / demonic posession / close the gateway to hell storyline, with a major dose of humor thrown in. Some kids want to get into a sorority / fraternity, so they go on a scavenger hunt and then spend the night in a huanted house. One of the items they pick up during the scavenger hunt is an ancient grimoire, and the guy they stole it from wants it back (even though he's dead). Never mess with a guy who owns a grimoire.
Good characters and nice atmosphere in the haunted house. The movie doesn't really turn into a complete comedy, but the charcters are constatnly making sarcastic remarks. You could do worse. Fun commentary track by the cast as well. One of the bloopers is pretty good too. Title: Re: Any Good Straight to DVD Movies? Noticed many new straight to DVD movies on our Blockbuster shelve and some look interesting, but don't want to waste my time with boring material. Hard to remember all the names of what I've seen on the shelve.
