Title: Watching movies at work
Post by: The Burgomaster on October 28, 2005, 04:35:58 PM
I work for a small consulting firm (fewer than 30 people) and when there are enough people in the office to make it worthwhile, we occasionally have "Cinema Lunches."  We eat our lunches in the conference room and watch DVDs on a laptop computer, projected onto a white board at the front of the room.  We only have an hour for lunch, so we usually watch half a movie one day and the other half the next day.  In anticipation of Halloween, I supplied the viewing materials for yesterday and today:

* THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957 - Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee) - Since the movie is less than 90 minutes long, we had time to watch the first hour yesterday and the rest today.  Plus, we had about 30 minutes of time left over today, so I also brought in:

* THE TWILIGHT ZONE (Volume 11) and we watched the "Living Doll" episode with Telly Savalas.  It's the one with the "Talky Tina" doll, a precursor to the "Chucky" movies.

This is a great way to spend a lunch hour (and to get people that I work with to watch movies that they would not ordinarily watch).

Do any of you participate in any "non-traditional" things during your breaks/lunch hours at work (watching movies, playing games, etc.)?
