Post by: trekgeezer on December 13, 2005, 02:13:44 PM
Don't they have drugs for this kinda thing or are we going to have to resort to the straitjacket?

Not me. I respect other people's opinions and have never seen the film, so I could even like it myself when I see it.

(OK, now that he's not listening, I just bough two sets of straightjackets and 29 tickets for NJ, tell me were is the rendezbous point again, I forgot to write it down)

Okay, now I know we need the straitjacket and the drugs. It may take a while but I know the real Scott is still in there somewhere. Hopefully we can get him back.

I was thinking the same thing Rich...we just may need to off him to save his soul.
Too bad, I liked Scott.

If we off him, though, he is likely to come back as his other fixation: a nazi zombie. Then he'll go on to proclaim Jess Franco as a great director. Now that's truly sick.

Are you suggesting an exorcism?

I'm not sure guns will be adequate to the task. This Gigli demon seems pretty resilient to the weapons of man.  We need to find an old book with the proper incantations and recipe for the destruction of such a vile, persistent beast.

The question I have is this: suppose we DO manage to exorcise the demon.  How will we ever be SURE?

Ok, so guns won't work... what then? Maybe my grandmother's cure-all of codliver oil, and horseraddish... that should do it.

What we really need to do is lock Scott away (preferably in a straitjacket) tie him to a chair in front of a TV with a DVD changer. Then we must put our heads together and come up with the definitive list of Bad movies to make him watch. He really just needs re-education.

I'll start the list with a few of my favorites

The Angy Red Planet
Phantom from Space
Killers from Space
The Green Slime

Add what you think it take to snap Scott out of his delusional state.

I don't know Trek, I think your idea may need more to it. Though it's good in principle, I think we should throw beatings in there too...ya know, just for assurance.

And for the principle of the thing; after all it's GIGLI fcol.  If word ever gets out that a film guy at the level of Scott (after all, I did declare him King the other day) actually LIKED this movie, we'll have more of them.

More of them, more of them, more of them (drifts off jabbering, into catatonic state).

My Grandma, and my Pappy would cram that stuff down my neck when I was acting up... trust me when I say I did not act up around them very much after that. YUCK!!

How dare you all plot against the one and only Scott!!  You worthless peons!

He is the spreader of the word Gigli, and as such should be bowed down before and worshiped, not consipired against...

Join the cause brothers and sisters!!!  Viva la Gigli!!!

Come on, Al Pacino is in it, and have you ever seen him in a bad movie???  You don't get classy actors like that in crappy films, that never EVER happens!  So join the Gigli crusade today!

I'm thinking of campaigning to have every review on this site be removed, and just have multiple reviews of Gigli.  After you have joined our cause, that's all you need: Gigli...

This is bordering on insanity...Dean, Scott...you guys are starting to scare me. There is a difference between Good Bad movies and Bad Bad movies. I had thought you 2 were capable of telling the difference. What's next, Glitter?

You know, the sad thing about that is that a couple of New Years ago, I actually watched Glitter that night with my girlfriend and one of her other friends.  It was complete crap but, for me at least, it wasn't too bad: It had that fun feature in which we are able to laugh at all the silly 'fade to whites' and, for those who have seen it, the entire character Dice, ranging from his intro, in which everyone goes slow mo [I think] around him, whilst Dice moves towards screen, with a slight bit of ghosting of some sort.  Incredibly funny cheesey stuff.

It was great to watch something so crap, and films like that and Breakdance inspired me to do the Musicals subject at uni in which I managed to work a video clip of Glitter [and various other poppy, crappy musicals] into my presentation.  The clips were horrible, but had that magical redeeming quality to them of 'this is so cheesy and crap, I'm actually laughing' which seems to work so much better than the people who make films and think that they are being funny, and really aren't.

Dean, if you like cheesy music videos, you are going to love this. Yo'ull be the first in this board to see (and listen) to the great Haze, a Spanish rapper who thinks neither talent nor money are needed to helm a crappy music video.

Right on brother!!!

I still believe that the site going down for a few days was a conspiracy to try and curb the popularity the Gigli movement was gaining...  I'm onto you, Gigli-haters!!!

Scott, I still blame myself for this horror that has befallen you...

I think I will have to ask around about exorcisms because, as Trek said, I feel that you will be helped by nothing else. Well, that and severe violence but I'd like to hold off on that until after the holidays if possible.

Hey! I may watch Albert Pyun movies, wrote a reader review on "Tank Girl", subject my friends to endless screenings of movies the time forgot, but I'll never, ever, recognise any possitive trait coming from a movie that stars BOTH Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.

A no cameo from Al Pacino or Christopher Walken can make me change my mind.
