Title: OT: DVD Vacation Package Deal Post by: Scott on December 21, 2005, 03:01:07 PM A Vacaction Package Deal came in the mail about 10 days ago. It offers all of the below for $1,200. Called the number on the mailer and we recieved this deal which we payed. This is a major hotel/resort chain by the way.
FLORIDA TRIP (6 Nights) You pick the dates. Free rental car for 7 Days while in Florida or they will pay for gas if you drive yourself and save receipts. You pay your own airfare if you fly and they give you a chance to win free airfare to Florida on the DVD package they send you (details just arrived yesterday), so I will mail this today. All meals payed for at the Resort all 7 days. (they know you won't be at the resorts all day to eat, but we'll do our best) They mailed us a shopping spree ticket for $1000 worth of merchandise online at their website. It's $300 dollars for shipping and processing the order. Wife already picked out her choices last night. A very wide variety of merchandize with hundreds of items to choose from. Which now brings the trip to $1500 plus airfare/or gas. Free express 2 day tickets to both Universal/Disney/SeaWorld. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (2 nights at a resort hotel) Nassau, Bahamas (2 nights on Cruise Ship) Orlando Florida (2 nights resort hotel) Extra Stays in Package Deal Also they give you 2 Day all free Resort stays at each of the following places. Meals and car rental are not included in the places below: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (Mountainous West Coast of Mexico) Las Vegas, Nevada (a few restirctions on the dates at this location) Williamsburg, Virginia Big Island of Hawaii, Hawaii San Diego, California Palm Springs, California San Diego, California Lake Tahoe, Nevada Branson, Missouri Daytnoa Beach, Florida Hilton Head, South Carolina Berkshire, MA Gatlingburg, Tennessee Massanutten, Virginia They give you 3 years to do all the locations. They know you probably won't have the time and they tell you that you can give or sell any of the time they have given us. The deal is easily worth $4,500 for the $1500 we payed, but you have have to get yourself to those locations and pay for all other attractions and activities besides the freebees mentioned above. This was ideal for us. Anyone ever do something like this? I'll keep you up to date on how everthing turns out. It sounded just right for us. It might not be ideal for all. The Resort locations we can't use up we will give away as family gifts or maybe even sell them. Some of those locations make for neat 7-10 day circle tours of the Southwest or the Southeast. Using them on vacations over the next 3 years. Anyone run into anything like this before. What were your experiences? The deal isn't free, but you can get alot out of it. Payed for it last week and it all came in the mail yesterday.
