You go to vote and there is good natured humor among strangers standing in line to cast ballots.

We voted on 3rd August and I got to the polls at around 7 am: fifty people in the queue ahead of me - no worries. I was there for about 20 minutes when I heard a dog bark, turned and I saw that one of the voters had brought her dog along. The election official saw the dog, smiled, walked over to the lady and asked if the dog was registered to vote.  :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:

The other odd thing happened when a person behind me tried to convince me that there was a parrot stuck in one of the trees - we voted at a school hall - and I was thinking he was just trying to push in front of me until I actually saw the parrot.  :teddyr:

It's a good thing he didn't say "Your shoe laces was untied" (Then we know he wanted to cut in line)

I do hope everything turned out ok for you :)
