Barbera Crampton Lovecraft movie on the way.

A while ago I'd seen an interview with Barbera Crampton where she talked about plans for a shared Lovecraft universe and a series of movies set within the mythos. This was a couple of years ago and I'd more or less forgotten about it, but it looks like wheels have been turning and an adaptation of The Thing on the Doorstep is on its way. I am expecting it to be a fairly loose adaptation, and have lots more nudity than you'd ever have gotten in Lovecraft's works. The first image from the movie has been released, of Heather Graham. I wonder if she'll be in the Asinath Waite role?

This sounds really promising! She was awesome as a scream queen in the 80s Lovecraft movies Reanimator and From Beyond.

I would LOVE to see a modern interpretation of Call of Cthulhu, but what i have in mind would take a budget outside of what such a movie would probably attract. I'd also love to see a fictonalized biopic of HP himself, with his stories playing out as dreams, and the end of the movie seeing him reunited with his grandfather after death, and entering the Gate of the Silver Key. I can only dream about such a movie.

Have you saw the version the HPLHS did of Call of Cthulhu? They only used techniques and effects that would have been available while Lovecraft was alive. They also did a B/W talkie of The Whisperer in Darkness. If you like the mythos and haven't seen them, I'd recommend both.

I think this is now available to watch in the US. Can't find it in the UK, but people are saying they've been able to watch off on a couple of streaming services.

She was involved in the remake of "Castle Freak" (2020), which ended with a Lovecraft-type non-ending. Too bad the main characters were all worthless because the movie LOOKED good.
I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.
