Air Force pilot has nightmares??

Can't remember the name of the movie where there is a fighter pilot who has nightmares. kind of a cheesy version of Top Gun, the main character drives a red corvette

At one point the pilot ends up at the home of some hot brunette, has a nightmare on her couch, she comes down to "console" him

I was thinking about Roy Scheider in Blue Thunder where he plays a Vietnam veteran pilot plagued with nightmares and PTSD.
