Both hammer and universal studios made a series of mummy movies.

So which mummy movie series do you like better and why?
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

Hammer, because they didn't make one with Tom Cruise.

I reckon the 1959 version with Christopher Lee, than the MUMMY'S HAND (1940).

In FACE OF THE SCREAMING WEREWOLF (1959), you got Lon Chaney as a mummy who turns into a werewolf, plus it's got the Aztec Mummy too! Great movie! The version I have is in Spanish-but it don't matter!

I like them both. They both have their pros and cons.

With Universal, you got Imhotep first and only. A classic in it's own right. The later Kharis series was good except for the lack of attention to time line continuity between films.

Hammer's mummy films were all stand alone and that made them great in a different storytelling approach. Fans of THE MUMMY(1959) should note that it is a mashup of the Imhotep/Kharis Universal film scripts
