mr. henry

just finished working on a FEEDERS review...it was actually better than i remembered (for a z-grade shot-on-video flick)...here's my short write-up of the movie...

Feeders - 1996 (Unrated). (VHS) Directed by Mark and John Polonia and Jon McBride. Stick-puppet aliens terrorize a Pennsylvania forest preserve. Most of this flick's humor comes from the clumsily articulated aliens...never mind Bennett's morphing socks. This is Z-grade shot-on-video territory but it's competently done with some interesting homegrown effects. The pacing and editing are surprisingly decent. The aliens are hilarious. The acting is sincere yet bad. All this adds up for one goofy lesson in Do-It-Yourself 101. RECOMMENDED basement-budget silliness.

if you're interested in more FEEDERS silliness, check out my longer review at www.310am.com

Great review, Mr. H! I'd completely forgotten about the "trick pony" line from Derek...absolutely hysterical!

Glad to see that you didn't forget about those morphing socks...

I've heard of Feeders.... haven't seen it, but have seen BLEEDERS, the movie with the blood you can squeeze on the box. That was quite a bit more interesting than half the movie.

Big, I've always felt that SPLATTER FARM contains the most effective use of chocolate pudding ever committed to celuloid...

i can see where that line would give you pause.

the two uber-cool dudes in this flick check out an old broken damn, at least 100 years old in appearance, in the forest preserves. then they visit the wreckage that occured when the damn burst. NONE of the wreckage is cleaned up and it contains cars definitely not 100 years old. then they drive to get more film and on the way to the gas station, they TAKE MORE PICTURES...without film!?!?!?

meesa head hurts too...
