what remakes would you like to see? i'm ver curious to know i will get theings started.

Game of Death, should be remade as a tribute to Bruce Lee and not as a cheap cash in on his name like the original. Bruce died shortly after production started, stand in cardbord cut outs and actual footage of his funeral were used that is disgraceful in my opinion and thats why Game of Death should be remade. Ive put some thought in to who would play Bruce's character Billy and it may seem like an all too obvious choice (obvious in the way thats who anyone would pick and i didnt put any thought into it) but i think Jet Li is a good choice.

Here are a few I think would be fun:

1.  Forbidden Planet
2.  Andromeda Strain
3.  Planet of the Apes - a good one
4.  Food of the Gods
5.  Flash Gordon - could be VERY slick with new CGI technology
6.  Remo Williams - at least a sequel
7.  Robo-cop
8.  Any of the giant animal movies (Ants, Rats,...you name it)
9.  Some of the 70's Killer Bee, Reptile or Fish movies
10.  Kill-Dozer!!!!

That's just five but I'm sure, given time, I could creat quite a list.

One's the shouldn't be touched:

1.  Texas Chainsaw Massacre
2.  Any Hitchcock
3.  Any Woody Allen (they all suck....:-))
4.  Bond, James Bond

For years now I've been hoping for a remake of 2000 MANIACS since I think the premise of  "Ghostly Confederate Psychos Meet Brigadoon" had a lot more potential than the H.G. Lewis original explored. (I keep hearing rumors that there IS a remake of this in the works so my wish may come true.)

I'd like to see a remake of WAR OF THE WORLDS done as a Period Piece, placing the story in it's original time period to make it stand out from all the other Sci Fi special effects extravaganzas these days.

Lets see......
GORGO. (Lets see the O'Kenny get stepped on by Gorgo!...Hey, i can dream...)
THE GIANT CLAW. (But keep it butt ugly. Tradition!)
THE MONSTER THAT CHALLANGED THE WORLD. (But, who should get Hans Conraeds part?)
GRIZZLY. ( But can gentle Ben. Teddys are not scary)
IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA. ( Let Harryhausen have a 10 tenticle budget this time!)
Hummmm........thats all for now....

I want to see a remake of:

WAR OF THE WORLDS

But I want it to follow the book more closely than the original version did.

I want to see every movie ever made by Anthony Hickox, remade by a competent director. I also want to see the last two Batman movies remade by anyone other than Joel Spewmacher.

I agree and in my post a few up from yours I mentioned I'd like to see a WAR OF THE WORLDS remake done as a period piece set in the original time period of the story in order to make it stand out a bit from all the other Sci Fi special effects extravaganzas hitting the screen these days.

That's one I would love to see done as straight-faced, pedal to the medal horror flick.

1) Fist of the North Star (live action) if they remade this movie it would be a LOT cooler than the first movie that lacked in Hokuto Shinken and Nanto Seiken.

2) The Guyver: Don't know why I like this movie so much but I think it's a bad movie classic, I mean I can't believe why so many people hate it, anyway maybe if they remade it would have more action but I doubt it would have that tongue and check humor of the orginal.

Well Nick, you may get your wish, because some studio just recently signed Tim Burton to helm a new Willy Wonka. But who oh who can take Gene Wilder's part.

Id love to see a good version of Final Destination too.
