Have any of you been on a gameshow?

I personally haven't but I think it would be quite an exciting thing.

We don't get any gameshows here in Iowa...just on TV

Jeopardy would be a good one for me because most of the time I can accurately answer about 80% of the questions except on the Tournament of Champions where they ask the really hard questions.

When they show The Tournament of Champions I can't answer about 90% of the questions

I've always wanted to be on The Price is Right.

I was watching it this morning and was noticing how someone will bid say $600.

And then the a***ole next to them will bid $601.

With a gameshow like that you only will have that one time in your ENTIRE life to be up there and then someone will do that so you can't get up onstage!

I'd personally be waiting outside for them after the show if they did that to me!

On the other hand...if I were the one who could bid 1 dollar higher and possibly get onstage and be the big winner....

Well that right there is a moral question....

1 chance in your life to be up there......do you take the selfish route and do the bad thing by cutting the other guy off?

OR.......

two questions here........

Have any of you been on a gameshow?

And would you say screw the other guy and outbid him by a buck?

My creative writing teacher in college was on jeopardy and won for 3 days straight, also one of his books has been filmed and is being released (probably direct to video).  Personally I haven't been on a gameshow ever, I am involved with a local comedy show that airs on the local fox channel every week so I'm on tv through that.

Also my friend's dad was on the price is right, only in the audience but my friend wore his name tag from the show for the next couple days.

My friend's parents were on THE PRICE IS RIGHT about 20 - 25 years ago. They actually won the Showcase Showdown!

I have never been on a game show.

But, when no one is around, I often put on a suit and play "Game Show Host." (But that's another story . . . )

My grandparents have been on countless gameshows, back when they were filmed in New York, instead of moved out to Hollywood like they are now. My grandfather actually passed on some wheel of some some show, the pony slot, and my mom, who was 12 or 13 at the time, went ballistic! She wanted that pony SO bad, she almost killed him when he got home. He chose a lifetime supply of hardware instead (which we still have in the garage.... dozens and dozens of boxes of nails of all sizes, shapes, forms, and whatnot)

They've also gotten trips to California, a cruise to the Bahamas, tools, and some other crap I'm forgetting, but they've gotten a lot. Me on the other hand? Hell, I can't even win a raffel for $20. I have bad gaming luck. Not bad gambling luck, jst bad gaming luck.

Nope never been on a game show, but would love tyo give Jeopardy or Who Wants to be a Millionaire a spin (is that show even on????)

As for the Price is Right, I find it so despicable when people bet a dollar over, and love it when someone then bids 602. i would always bid at least 50 dollars over....

Okay - no I have never been on a gameshow, and if I was lucky enough to get up to the podium, I'd outbet the person next to me by $1, $2 or even the dreaded $1 bid. Hey, let's be honest, you're on the show to win money, not to make pen pals!
