Me fellow bad movie constituents & cronies, I come seeking aid for a project I'm doing in video production for another class.
I need to know what a good source would be for raw war footage.  I know about the prelinger archives, and those don't have anything after 1964 or footage that  hasn't been edited into some kind of official programme for the governemt back in the 40's.  I don't want to tape off the history channel because that would have a watermark on the footage.  If anyone could recommend movies that have stock footage in them that could be used, that would be could.  I'm looking for more violent stuff, such as from vietnam, old news reels, the sort of thing that they don't usually show on TV.
Other famous peices of footage would be good too, such as Martin Luther King Jr. giving a speech, or JFK being assasinated.  Old WW2 footage of Nazi Germany could also be helpful.  Thanks for your help.

Me and a few people did a video documentary type thing of World War 2 and we found that splicing in some footage of Shcindler's List was an easy way out of looking for stuff:  Some of it is very violent and looks realistic, at least I think it was Schindlers List [the tapes at our house are rarely labelled]
