Well, seeing as how we're down to the last week before the Oscars, I thought I would put forth a few predictions.

Best Picture: people are saying Gladiator is going to win, but I'm holding out for either Crouching Tiger or Traffic

Best Director: Ang Lee

Best Actor: hopefully Ed Harris

Best Actress: I'm taping the show just so I can have a record of Julia Roberts's reaction if and when she loses.  Ellen Burstyn would get my vote for Requiem.

Best Visual Effects: something tells me The Perfect Storm

Best Supporting Actor:  hopefully Willem Dafoe

Best Supporting Actress: Gee, I wish I had seen those movies

Best Original Score: Hans Zimmer

And if they give ANYTHING to that hideous Grinch movie (which had the ugliest makeup and art direction I have ever seen in my life), I will kill something.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon & Gladiator are my picks for this year. Also lets not forget The Patriot with Mel Gibson.

Make it a politicion, or a used car jury in the world would convict.

The Patriot isn't up for best picture Scott.  Also, I feel Gladiator was OK but not Oscar worthy.  That's just my two cents.  I hope Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon .
