I have to say I am loving Netflix.

The Flintstones, Season 1.

I love The Flintstones.  A Lot.  My daughter has never seen them, so this was for both of us.  ;)

Donnie Darko, Directors Cut.

I went back and read some of the 'controversy' on this site about this film.  Not to stir the whole thing up again, but the short version is I like it.  A Lot.  What is interesting to me is that on this site, there is often a consensus one way or another (most like or most dislike), but with this one, it seems fairly split.

I never saw the theatrical release, but it's my understanding that the Director's Cut made some changes that though subtle, are important.  I can see me not liking the original with those elements missing.  If all you've seen was the original, and you don't have a full blown white-hot hate for it, I'd say give the DC a try.

The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Wow.  It's films like this that really show just how far down movie making has come.  If I've seen it before (I really cannot remember), I had to be very young.  Anyway, my only complaint was the length, and that was because I watched it rather late last night when having had only two hours sleep the night before.

Did anyone else think the bit with Shears' real rank a bit tacked on? I can see the point of using something like as character development, but by that point in the film we already know quite a bit about him (the character he thinks he is vs. who he really is).

Just Wow.

Professor Hathaway: Up the voltage.
