I really liked Hills Have Eyes but one time I was "lucky" enough to see it's sequel...I was sick.

RoboCop was quite a fun and entertaining movie but the movies that followed should never have been made.

Bad sequels to good movies:

* FUTUREWORLD
* THE STING II
* MORE AMERICAN GRAFFITI
* ALIEN 3
* ALIEN RESURRECTION
* EXORCIST II
* DAMIEN: OMEN II
* LOOK WHAT'S HAPPENED TO ROSEMARY'S BABY (a damned made-for-TV movie!)
* HALLOWEEN 2 (through whatever number they are up to now)

And that is my SHORT list.

The biggest crime/sin of that movie was the killing off of Elgin (Michael Wincott) in the first half of it! He was one of the coolest characters! Plus Wincott is soooo awesome! Why couldn't have they of killed off some other character? Like some of the others being played by not as famous actors!

I'm going to have to disagree with you on 'Futureworld', 'Damien', and 'Halloween 2'. Sure they weren't great sequels, but IMHO they aren't bad movies either. They have their merits. Now as for 'Halloween 3' that was a fun, little harmless flick that shouldn't have been released under the 'Halloween' franchise.

Here's one...I was only thinking on the lines of a second movie but if we're looking at sequels to sequels then I have one that p**ses me off every time I think about it. Most of you know I am a huge Road Warrior fan. I had read there was going to be a Mad Max III released and for months I was practically drooling about it. I was first in line to see it and I could've killed everyone that had anything to do with that film. It was the most disgusting piece of trash I had ever seen. They took what made the first 2 movies so good and just tossed it out the window and pussified Max in hopes of making big money.

Has anyone mentioned Bambi 2?  You know, I mean on principle?

I friend of mine rented it for his daughter (she just turned 5).  She told him it was stupid, and I think that was a direct quote.

Yikes, don't get me started on Disney's many straight-to-video sequels of classic stories.

There should be some law against sullying an age-old children's favourite with crappy cash grabs like Cinderella 2, for example. Nothing is sacred to those people.

Dave:

Yes, it's true . . . there was a terrible made-for-TV sequel to ROSEMARY'S BABY.  It was made in the mid 1970s.  Ruth Gordon was the only original cast member that returned for the sequel.  Patty Duke replaced Mia Farrow as Rosemary and the baby was grown up. BAD, BAD, BAD and boring.

I can list some:

-The Crow: City of Angels, The Crow: Salvation and The Crow: Wicked Prayer

-Highlander: Endgame

-the new Pink Panther movie that's either a prequel, a sequel or a remake (and on that subject, Trail of the Pink Panther and Curse of the Pink Panther)

-Cube 2: Hypercube and Cube Zero

-Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd

-Blade: Trinity

-The Godfather part 3

-Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation and Silent Night, Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker (two "sequels" that had nothing to do with the original)

-Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier, and Star Trek: Insurrection

-Jaws: The Revenge

-Friday the 13th 5: The New Beginning (when the killer WASN'T Jason), and Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (where Jason was barely in the movie)

-Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

-Alien VS Predator

-Wild Things 2 and Wild Things: Diamonds in the Rough (more "sequels" without any of the original characters)

-Vampires: Los Muertos and Vampires: The Turning (ditto)

-Cruel Intentions 2 and 3

-Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

-Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves

-Herbie: Fully Loaded

-The Matrix Revolutions

-The Ring 2

-Kill Bill volume 2

-Carlito's Way: Rise to Power

-Batman Begins (althought, does it really count as a sequel?) and Batman & Robin

-Superman 3 and 4: The Quest for Peace
