<<"XXX: State of the Union">>

Strangely, I really want to see it! I know it's going to be very, very bad, but Peter Strauss is never in a big budget movie, and I'll watch just about anything with Willem Dafoe.

You know, the only one I can think of is "Cars."  I guess that the next X-Men movie could be interesting too, but a lot of what comes out these days does not end up catching my attention until afterwards.

What I would really like to see is a good space opera or fantasy film.  Something set in Peter F. Hamilton's "Nights Dawn" universe would be cool.  Do not worry about doing the book(s), just use the amazing setting for a good story.

Andrew,

Personally, I'm still waiting for a film version of Ender's Game.

One is currently being scripted, they will start filming as soon as the script is done.

Check it:

Wolfgang Petersen will direct it.

How about The Wizard of Oz (1939) ?
According to the IMDB, the version we all know & love, starring Judy Garland & directed by Victor Flemming was actually the fourth remake of a movie based on the Baum classic.
