I'll second Touching the Void.  Excellent film and very well done.  Very honest, too.  The post event interviews don't have a lot of candy coating.

Here are some good music flims mostly dealing with Punk directed by Penelope Spheeris

Suburbia-A pretty good film that talks about old school gutter punks. It actually uses really punks in the neighborhood so the acting is off but genuine. Also has the Flea from Red Hot Chill Peppers.

Decline Of Western Civilazation 1-3- All are documnetries that has various intetrviews with bands, people in that scene and bands playing. The first deals with punk scene in 1979. the second was the Metal Years which was hilarous. It was a inside look into the Hair Metal and Metal in 1987 that has to be seen to be believed. the third is a more of a touching story with Gutter Punks: kids who live out on the street that are runaways and such.

As Good as It Gets is the only RomCom I can stomach (except Shuan of the dead but that's a ZomRomCom)
Blues Brothers- Sadly, there are still people out there that haven't seen it. My vote for best musical and I've seen my fair share.
And to roundn out the list, Killer Klowns from Outerspace- nough said
